Visa for tourism

Starting from 1 March 2022, entry into Italy also for tourism purpose is authorized upon the submission of:

– the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) in digital or paper format available on the following link:https://app.euplf.eu/#/
– the Covid-19 Vaccine Passport (vaccination certificate, recovery certificate or negative molecular or antigen test) or any other equivalent vaccination certificate recognized (for Malaysia – Comirnaty, Janssen Suspension for Injection, AstraZeneca). In the case of individuals vaccinated abroad with a vaccine not authorized by EMA which have received a booster with m-RNA vaccine in the dosages authorized for the booster (30 mcg in 0.3 mL for Pfizer / BioNTech’s Comirnaty; 50 mcg in 0.25 mL for Moderna’s Spikevax), this is recognized as equivalent to the certification issued by the Italian health authorities.

Only in case of failure to submit one of the above certifications, shall the traveller be submitted to a 5-day quarantine and obliged to take a molecular or antigen test at the end of this period.

As a result of this recognition:

All foreign citizens vaccinated abroad with the above-mentioned vaccines are entitled to access all venues and services for which a Green Pass (similar to MySejahtera) is mandatorily required in Italy. In order to be recognized as equivalent to a Green Pass, the foreign vaccination certificate must contain the following information: the personal details of the holder, the details of the vaccine, the date(s) of administration of the vaccine, the identity of the certificate issuer; and the above information must also be written in Italian, English, French, Spanish or German.
