Update: Recalibration Program (Repatriation) and Recalibration Program (Foreign Labour)

The Malaysian Government has agreed on 5th of July to extend the Recalibration Program (Repatriation) and Recalibration Program (Foreign Labour) until 31st of December 2021 or until the National COVID-19 Immunization Program (PICK) ends.

To expedite this Recalibration Program (Repatriation), the Immigration Department of Malaysia has opened special counters for the recalibration program at KLIA: Illegal Immigrants (PATI) in Malaysia will be able to proceed directly to these counters before departing back to their countries, provided they possess complete documents and have fulfilled all the other conditions for this program.

The main Terms and Conditions for the Recalibration Program (Repatriation) at KLIA are as follows:

■Posses valid travel documents;

■Possess return ticket to country of origin;

■Be present at the Immigration Special Counter at KLIA at least 6 hours before departure, on the date of departure (no need to apply for an appointment via STO as normally needed);

■Complete payment of compound of RM500.00 (ONLY Debit/Credit/Touch’n Go eWallet are accepted)

■Produce RT-PCR test result slip ( only valid 72 hours from the date of flight). The RT-PCR test can be taken at any clinic before going to KLIA.

Upon arriving in KLIA, the applicant of this program have to pass the temperature screening at Gate 2, 3, 5, or 6 of the KLIA Departure Hall (at Level 5) before proceeding to the special counter for Recalibration Program situated at Level 3 (next to the Domestic Arrival Hall).

The special counter for Recalibration Program operates 24 hours at KLIA starting 8th July 2021 and will be expanded to KLIA2 and other international entry points soon.

Illegal immigrants in Malaysia are advised to take advantage of this facility to go back to their countries and not engage the services of any third parties or agents.
