Such programme supports excellent <strong>2-year research projects<\/strong> to be conducted by outstanding Principal Investigators of <strong>any nationality<\/strong> choosing Padua and one of its 32 Departments as their working base and committing to submit an ERC project proposal with the University of Padua as their Host Institution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The STARS@UNIPD call aims at encouraging high quality, innovative and ambitious research in all scientific areas, offering support to ground-breaking ideas with definite potential to turn into competitive proposals for international funding, including the prestigious European Research Council grants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In particular, STARS Starting Grants (STARS-StGs) are designed to fund promising PIs who have been <strong>awarded their first PhD within a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 7 years (prior to 1st January 2021)<\/strong> and are about to establish their own research team and\/or starting their own independent research.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">More information about the funding programme are available at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipd.it\/en\/stars2021\">https:\/\/www.unipd.it\/en\/stars2021<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The call will be officially <strong>published\u00a0on 11 January 2021<\/strong> and the on line submission procedure will go live. <strong>Application deadline is on 12 April 2021 at 1:00 p.m. (Italian time)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please find enclosed a brief STARS@UNIPD Summary.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Any further clarification requests can be addressed to the University of Padua: <a href=\"mailto:talent.stars@unipd.it\">talent.stars@unipd.it<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The University of Padua (Italy) will launch the third edition of the Supporting TAlent in ReSearch@University of Padua \u2013 STARS@UNIPD call for proposals.
