After making a solemn promise in the presence of Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Clara Cualbu, on 17 July 2025, Mr Gennaro Nardone officially took up the post of Honorary Consul of Italy in Kota Kinabalu (State of Sabah, Malaysia).
The opening of the Honorary Consulate in Kota Kinabalu was made possible thanks to the exceptional work carried out by Ambassador Massimo Rustico during his term of office (2021-2025).
Honorary Consul Gennaro Nardone will be able to provide Italian nationals in the State of Sabah with a wide range of consular services, as listed in the relevant Decree limiting consular functions.
