Travelling to Italy from 1st June 2022

From 1 June 2022, the Green Pass or other equivalent certification is no longer required for entry or return to Italy.

COVID-19 restrictive measures for arrivals from abroad are no longer in force.

In Italy, some containment measures remain, such as the use of masks in certain circumstances, until 30 September 2022.

Until this date in fact, it is mandatory to wear FFP2 type face masks on public transport (trains, ships, ferries, buses and others), excluding airplanes, as well as in social and health facilities. It is however recommended to wear respiratory protection devices in all public indoor places or places open to the public.

The wearing of protective face masks is not compulsory for: a) children under the age of six; b) people with pathologies or disabilities incompatible with the use of the mask, as well as people who must communicate with a person with disabilities and are therefore not able to use the device; c) people carrying out sporting activities.
