The Visa Office handles the issuance of visas allowing applicants entrance into Italy or the EU. Office personnel are available to the public for consultation on what type of visa to apply for.
Urgent notice for visa applicants and appointment requesters
The Embassy of Italy strongly recalls that information on visas and appointments are disclosed and communicated only to the interest person/applicant.
The appointment is always granted free of charge.
No agency or intermediary is authorized to provide such services. Any proposal to this effect configures a fraud and will be promptly reported to the relevant authorities.
The Visa Office will not provide any feedback to requests for information or appointments received without signature nor accompanied by a copy of the identity document of the applicants, or of any other legal document that identifies the person as a direct interest party.
EFFECTIVE FROM 15 AUGUST 2018, THE VISA APPOINTMENTS FOR FAMILY REASON WILL BE SET DIRECTLY BY THE EMBASSY UNDER THE CONDITION THAT THE APPLICANTS SHOW UP AT THE EMBASSY, EVERY THURSDAY FROM 2 P.M. TO 5 P.M BRINGING ALONG:
1. THE PASSPORT AND A COPY OF IT
2. THE "NULLA OSTA" ISSUED BY THE RELEVANT SPORTELLO UNICO FOR
IMMIGRATION IN ITALY.
3. THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENT OF THE MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE REGULARLY REGISTERED IN MALAYSIA OR CELEBRATED IN MALAYSIA, IN ORDER TO PROCESS THE CASE BY THIS EMBASSY.
