"Estate all'italiana Festival"

We are pleased to announce that, in the framework of the measures taken to support cultural and creative enterprises, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has created the "Estate all'italiana Festival/Italian Summer Festival", an online international showcase for festivals of great importance, tradition and excellence, with the aim to promote Italian cultural initiatives, artists and musicians.

The "Estate all'italiana Festival" offers over 20 shows of high artistic profile which, thanks to the collaboration with ItaliaFestival (association that brings together some of the most important Italian festivals, like the Ravenna Festival, the Puccini Festival, the Naples Teatro Festival, the Valle d'Itria Festival, the Santarcargelo Festival, the Emilia Romagna Festival, Borgate dal Vivo in Piedmont, Armonie d'Arte in Calabria and the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto), will be available online for free - streaming and on demand for 48 hours - upon registration on the website.

The "Estate all'italiana Festival" program will start on June 21st, with the opening concert of the Ravenna Festival, featuring the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra and soprano Rosa Feola, and conducted by Maestro Riccardo Muti. Both the date and the event are of great symbolic value: aside from coinciding with the Festa della Musica/International Music Day, it will also be the first major concert in Italy that will take place in the presence of public, in compliance with all the safety rules, following the reopening of Italian theatres. The concert will be available on the  platform, upon registration, following which the interested parties will receive by email the access link for the viewing.

We attach herewith the Festival Calendar; this though is subject to changes and additions.

For each calendar entry, an introductory "video preview" (with English subtitles) with testimonials and artistic directors presenting their shows and festivals, will be published in a dedicated playlist on the YouTube channel of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
